He is the first English royal visitor since Prince Edward, who couldn’t tell his Biddles from his scrapples:

The prince spoke of “eating biddle for breakfast and meeting so many citizens named Scrapple,” said the Daily Evening Bulletin.

    Pretty much. I suspect Queen Elizabeth has suffered far more motherly angst than she ever let on.

    Though the Prince and his Consort (isn’t “loss of consortium” such a grand legal phrase?) seem to have been gracious guests, according to today’s local rag.
