Captions Outrageous 2

Last night, we watched an old episode of Perry Mason. (I guess all Perry Mason episodes are old at this point. At least there are no SWAT teams running around like Star Wars storm troopers . . . .)

In one bit of dialog, the word “tycoon’s” appeared.

The closed captions displayed it as “TYXXXX’S.”

Aside:

One of the characters was named “Eula.” Why a character would be named “End User License Agreement” is beyond me.

There was a girl in my 1960 high year book, whom I didn’t know personally, whose name was Eula Mae. That would seem to predate the EULA that we are all now familiar with.

I looked up the name on the inner webs. It apparently has roots in ancient Greek.

I couldn’t resist the pun, though.
