Too Stupid for Words category archive
When I was growing up at Pine View Farm, we had a windmill (in the picture above, it would have been behind the right ell of the house). Granted, it was relic from before the electric water pump was installed, but there it was.
President Obama’s country of origin is not the only birthplace the Donald Trumples. Field reports (emphasis in the original):
“My father is German, right? Was German. And born in a very wonderful place in Germany, so I have a great feeling for Germany,” Trump said during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who is from Norway.
Ahhhm, no Donald, your father was born in New York. I mean seriously, who does this? Who lies with all the world watching about where his father was born? I am starting to think that the man just can’t help himself. Surely he must have known that this could be easily fact checked. I suppose that when you tell so many lies and you are used to getting away with them you become emboldened to just tell more.
Follow the link for the full Field report.
The headline for this story in the print edition was “Doomed Buggies.”
A purple Dodge Challenger bogged down on the Currituck beach Sunday. It was the third stuck sports car captured on social media since late December, and that’s just a sampling.

You can’t top this.
Emily O’Connor wrote on Twitter that while preparing to fly March 2 from Birmingham in the United Kingdom to the Canary Islands, she was informed by Thomas Cook staff that her outfit – a cropped top with spaghetti straps and high-waist pants that exposed a section of her midriff – was “inappropriate” and “causing offense.”
O’Connor had no trouble getting through airport security, but said at least four staff members surrounded her once she boarded her flight, prepared to forcibly remove her from the plane if she didn’t change.
Not being familiar with the term “crop top,” I did a web search.
“Crop top” appears to be new speak for a “halter top” that is longer than a traditional halter top. Based on the images I saw, I’d have to say that Thomas Cook Airlines needs to have its mind washed out with soap.
The stupid. It burns.
At the confluence of Pokemon, prejudice, and stupid, some good news.
Dick Polman comments on Donald Trump’s council of climate change charlatans who claim that climate change cannot be, but, if it is, it’s benign and beneficial.
Actually, it’s no mystery how we’ve lived to see this day. This day was guaranteed when 46 percent of the electorate chose as its president a flat-Earth crank who tweeted in 2014 that “GLOBAL WARMING bullshit has got to stop!” and has never masked his hostility to science.
In related news, my local rag today had a long article about how rising sea levels are devastating rural coastal communities.
