At Psychology Today Blogs, Claire Jack suggests that many tactics we see in our political you-can-hardly-call-it discourse are “emotional and manipulative tactics” that amount to gaslighting on a societal level. An excerpt, referring to the current reaction to the police murder of George Floyd (emphasis; follow the link for the rest.
By the way, the last sentence above captures succinctly why those monuments were erected in the first place.

I’m looking to implement SSL when I get a round tuit, not that this site needs it, as it handles no confidential or financial information, but it seems to be the in thing that all the cool sites are doing.

The fridge in question required a GE RPWFE refrigerator water filter. It has an RFID chip, which the fridge uses to verify the authenticity of the part. The RPWFE filter costs much more than unapproved filters: about $50 compared to $13.
Aside:
The “smart home” trade off is a simple one.
