But don’t worry your pretty little heads. They were run by Very Serious People–let’s call them “runners”–who wore Three-Piece Suits, Looked Good in Meetings and Competent in Commercials and who were guided by the Free Hand of the Market.
Of course They Knew What They Were Doing.
Besides, the runners probably took home enough money that they don’t need any of those pesky unemployment compensation payments that Republicans claim encourage persons not to look for work.
The persons who actually did the work, like tellers and cashiers and clerks. There’s always . . . . not much of anything these days.
