My Little Gas Price Survey 4
Prices I saw as I went to work today.
Claymont, Del., Exxon, $2.93 (and he’s usually the highest along my commute).
Claymont, Del, Cumberland Farms (Gulf), $3.10 (and he’s usually the lowest). (At first, I typed Gult instead of Gulf. Maybe I should have left it as “Guilt.”)
Claymont, Del., Getty, $3.08.
Woodbury, NJ, LubOil, $3.10.
Updates will be coming.
(later)
On the drive home:
Paulsboro, NJ, Exxon (TA Truck Stop), $3.05.
Claymont Gulf (Cumberland Farms), $3.41.
Claymont Getty, $3.35

For some reason gas prices in our town came down 20 cents yesterday. Thursday the best price I saw was $3.19, then last night we started seeing stations at $2.99. A price drop at the start of Labor Day weekend! Not that anyone thinks of $3 gasoline as a bargain…

I guess it’s all relative. I got a letter from one of my credit card companies telling me they have increased my limit. Now I can afford gas to go to work to earn money to pay my credit card bill.
(hmmm, it’s been a long time since Algebra. Is that a quadratic equation?)
When I drove down here–I’m at the farm tonight–prices seem to be to have no pattern. I know this (see my next post), I’m filling up in Virginia!

Prices in Dover (DE) seem to have settled around $3.19 for regular (as of 9/4). One station that was selling for $3.29 on Friday dropped to $3.19 Sunday. One place (a Shore Stop I believe) put a big blue tarp over their gas price sign – guess they got tired of changing the numbers.
Sams Club is usually the cheapest place in town (normally 3 or 4 cents cheaper than the Wawa on the other side of Rt. 13), but I didn’t go by there this morning. They have a sign with their member price, but it’s been blank the last few days. The sign is pretty low-tech. The numbers are on little flip cards mounted on the wooden sign board. I think they got caught off guard and didn’t have a “3” in the dollar position. Sam’s is the only place I’ve seen a line and that was Thursday evening. Most places in town had raised their price to $2.99 and a few over $3. Sam’s was still selling gas for $2.65.

Man, it’s awesome not having to pay for gas.
Oh, wait, you’ll probably change that now, ha ha!
Oh, and Unle Bill, your posting name is hilarious.
