. . . the truth is that while Trump managed to win the popular vote, his margin of victory was very narrow and there was no landslide and there clearly is no mandate.

Mevertheless, methinks Trump will act as if the land slid and, in so doing, do even greater harm than he has already done to this “noble experiment.”

Back in the olden days, when I was a young ‘un growing up about 40 miles north of where I type this, we would have had several at least light frosts by this time of year.

We haven’t yet had a low below freezing.

Climate change is real, it’s happening, and I fear it is well beyond the tipping point.

Finally, this is website is a hobby. It's a hobby in which I am deeply invested, about which I care deeply, and which has enabled me to learn a lot about computers and computing, but it is still ultimately an avocation, not a vocation; it is certainly not a money-making enterprise (unless you click the "Donate" button--go ahead, you can be the first!).
