Another one of those “responsible gun owners” practices self-politeness.

The 43-year-old man told officers he accidentally shot himself while placing a firearm into his pocket, according to dispatches from APD. The man self-reported the incident to police around 11:20 a.m. from the 2800 block of Telek Place.

The Portland Oregonian reports on the Trump maladministration’s mean for the sake of mean. Here’s a tiny taste of the terrorism; follow the link for a big indigestible serving of sadism.

The unending stream of unverified social reports and rumors has deepened anxiety and caused a panic paralysis that has led some families – including those with legal status or who have U.S. citizen children – to shelter at home and abandon regular activities, said Jairo Rodriguez, a spokesperson with Centro Cultural of Washington County, a nonprofit that for more than five decades has provided social services, education and cultural programs to Latinos in the region.

“People have stopped going to work, stopped taking their kids to school, stopped going to their doctor’s appointments,” said Rodriguez.

Stray Thought 0

It’s one thing to have a President with whose policies you disagree.

It’s quite another to have a President who has no policies, only a thirst for emoluments and a desire to punish (those he perceives as) his enemies .

When carolers come a-caroling, greet them with politeness.

An Annapolis man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly pointed a gun at three 12-year-old girls who had come to his door to sing carols Saturday night. . . .

We are a broken society.

The Climates They Are a-Changing 0

    It’s the night before Thanksgiving
And all through the place I’m living,
I had to turn on the A/C–
The climate ain’t what it used to be.

And I know. I grew up about 40 miles north of here. By this time of year, I’d have been wearing my heavy coat and gloves and looking at frosts in morning, not a wearing a short-sleeved shirt and opening windows to let in warm fresh air in in the afternoon.
