The Trumpettes May Blow . . . . 2

. . . but Leonard Pitts, Jr., doesn’t care to listen. Indeed, he publishes his “don’t bother to read” list. An excerpt:

It’s a new literary genre — books by former staff members and aides who now want to dish about the awfulness of Donald Trump or his White House.

(snip)

At this stage of the game, how much satisfaction is there in being able to say, “I told you so?”

About as much as there is in buying a fire extinguisher after the house burns down.

No really a NEW genre. George Sold-em-outalous rose to fame doing the same thing to the Clintons.

But I can’t argue with his point. And it is sad that so many are so happy to support these people, when they’re just grifters like Trump.

You do have a point. I’ll suggest that it’s the quantity, rather than the quality, of the tell-alls that might be what’s new here.

And you are right about the grifters.

I am quite distressed that so much of the electorate has chosen to fall for the con.

As an aside, I will note that tonight my friend and I were watching an episode of Major Crimes that involved “sovereign citizens.” She asked, “Are they real?”

I said, “Yes. The SPLC keeps tabs on them.”

She said, “This is not the greatest country . . . .” and I can’t argue with her.

    Thanks for visiting.
