Foxy! 2
My back porch looks out over an open space surrounding an abandoned quarry from which Delaware blue rock was mined (hence the name of the baseball team).
This morning, as I was having my morning smoke (Don’t say it! I know!), I saw two foxes. They were playing with each other, just like a pair of dogs. They played and played, until I got my camera, found out the card was full, cleaned up the card, pointed . . . and then they disappeared into the quarry.
But, if you look real close, you may be able to see them here, courtesy of Google:

In the winter, when the grass & grazing areas in the mountains aren’t as plentiful, deer & elk will come down to the lower elevations. Our house backs up to a greenbelt with water. We’ve seen impressions in the frost that suggest deer or elk have paid a visit. Body prints, usually. It’s also known to owners of small animals to keep them in, because we also get foxes. We have a friend that has to pen his chickens up at night, or the foxes in his area will have a chicken dinner, at his expense.

The foxes were out again yesterday, playing. I’m guessing they are kits.
