Beyond the Palin 1

Abuse of power is a wingnut thing.

From MarketWatch:

The Republican nominee for vice president violated the state’s Executive Branch Ethics Act by repeatedly trying to get Trooper Michael Wooten dismissed from the Alaska State Police and then for firing Commissioner of Public Safety Walt Monegan after he refused to let Wooten go, according to a report from investigator Stephen Branchflower, who was commissioned by a joint committee of the Alaska legislature.

As my mother would have said, “Honestly . . . .”

First of all, the report failed to conclude Palin broke any laws. The worst they were able to come up with is this “abuse of power” business which basically says they don’t like what she did. That’s lame.

Secondly, the national Democratic Party knows perfectly well they have a governor in Illinois whose abuses make this Palin incident a joke, and they purposely avoid reining him in, even though there are Democrats here in Illinois who would be willing to help. To gripe about Palin and ignore Blagojevich is hypocrisy.
