Humpty-Dumpty Huckster History 2

Am I the only person who sees parallels between Republicans’ making up history to suite their cause and Soviet Russia’s making up history to suite its cause?

August J. Pollack, the cartoonist, comments. A nugget:

Mike Huckabee, fresh off realizing that pretending he’ll become president pays far less than doing stuff like this, has done this. Apparently textbooks, teachers, the media, general knowledge, and of course that old enemy of the right, reality have for too long hindered the true history of our nation.

Follow the link for more about the cartoon.

If you feel particularly brave (or foolhardy) Mr. Pollack links to the Huckabee Hucksters History site.

I’m not going to help the Huckster’s Google juice.

No. I think a lot of people have noticed but since the GOP has become so adept at retaliating with ridiculous screaming when such comparisons point out the truth, many just censor themselves and leave it for another day.
One similar item is the common rewrite in GOP and Tea Party circles was that the world economic collapse was caused by too many black people buying houses they couldn’t afford.
This falls right in with the Huckabee style.
For me, he’s even more blighted for crapping up oldies classic rock with the milchtoast & pantywaist renditions he plays with the washed up old stars he invites to be on Fox. Heh.

When the Huckster announced the last time around, I knew he didn’t have a chance.  As nutty as he is, he does sometimes show flashes of a sense of compassion.

That is enough to ensure that he could never get the nomination, fundie cred notwithstanding.
