In the latest migration to a new virtual private server, some of the links to images in the earliest posts to this blog were broken. If you encounter one of these broken links, please let me know. I have backups and can restore the images.
There’s only one person who agrees with me on everything, and, as I’m not running for office, that person is not on the ballot.
When I was a young ‘un living almost on the Atlantic coast, my brother and I would run outside to watch the blimps fly along the coast as part of the early warning system.
It looks as if I might get to relive those days.

I do believe the yearning for military blimps is ten years strong now. I remember it being, uh — floated, just after 9/11. Now that any amount of money is always fine for the war on terror and surveillance, everything becomes cost effective. But I still have no idea why blimps are considered good for anything except being over the Rose Bowl with advertising in football season. I guess the blimp makers have decided it’s way too narrow a market and want some of the homeland security money.
