Cites Eli Pariser, the boss of UpWorthy. We recall UpWorthy as a dispenser of trash news, curated by people paid poorly to express two things — joy and cloying earnestness. Packaged as one or two pragraph pieces of clickbait wrapped up as a daily dose of Chocks vitamins and PopTarts for your soul.

Stopped watch, yep. Ad hominem, guilty as charged. I was a reviewer for years at a newspaper. It made people open the paper on Saturday. There’s still a special place in old school journalism Hell for Eli Pariser and UpWorthy.

Remember, that blind pig with his acorn is still a blind pig.
