Selfie Sticks are officially passe.
How do I know? There’s one for sale in my most recent Publisher’s Clearing House mailing. (PCH is one of my secret vices. Entering the sweepstakes is cheaper than entering the lottery, and the odds of winning the big one are just about as good. A first-class stamp is a cheap price to pay for a dream.)
Afterthought:
I’m so old I can remember when PCH was truly a “clearing house” for “publishers,” when their primary products were seconded books, rather than gadgets escaped from a Ronco ad.
A long, long time ago, I ordered a copy of Fanny Hill from them. I considered it an educational expense.
