While I’m out getting a new cable modem from my ISP’s store (the old has been acting iffy for a couple of weeks), give it a read.

Addendum:
The new modem seems to be working fine, after some help from my ISP’s tech support.
I have some grumps about my ISP on a management level, but their tech support and customer service staff is excellent. I actually enjoyed chatting with support rep as he did his thing and waited for stuff to happen (I used to wear a headset myself, so I’ve been on his side of the phone call).
