Aside:
I created this category in the very early days of this blog after being stopped at a light behind a rickety old car plastered with NRA bumper stickers saying that “an armed society is a polite society.”
I know how to use guns, and I know how to recognize stupid, and I realized that I was seeing stupid about guns.
I am neither prescient nor intuitive. (I am, however, observant, but the problem with being observant is that you have to turn it on for it to work. I often forget to turn it on . . . .) Nevertheless, I did not expect the tidal wave of stupid gunnuttery that today engulfs us.
