This website does not track you.
It contains no private information. It does not drop persistent cookies, does not collect data other than incoming ip addresses and page views (the internet is a public place), and certainly does not collect and sell your information to others.
Some sites that I link to may try to track you, but that's between you and them, not you and me.
I do collect statistics, but I use a simple stand-alone Wordpress plugin, not third-party services such as Google Analitics over which I have no control.
Finally, this is website is a hobby. It's a hobby in which I am deeply invested, about which I care deeply, and which has enabled me to learn a lot about computers and computing, but it is still ultimately an avocation, not a vocation; it is certainly not a money-making enterprise (unless you click the "Donate" button--go ahead, you can be the first!).
I appreciate your visiting this site, and I desire not to violate your trust.

It’s hard to know if American business recognizes how detested it has become. The YouTube point is a good one. Turning the internet into lousy HD ad tv everywhere, in the long run, is going to be very counterproductive. I was listening to the pro radio broadcast of Penn State football this morning on the net and corporate radio spots continually interrupted the game broadcast, wiping out entire possessions. Finally, a commercial break wiped out one of the big plays of the game, a Northwestern touchdown on an interception return. Someone interrupted the commercial but listeners came back to the game having missed the game-clinching play. It didn’t take long for corporate America and greed to ruin the web which makes me think that if net neutrality isn’t preserved, it might bring things to a breaking point.

Words fail me.
Actually, they don’t, but it’s late and I’m tired.
But, really, you were listening to a Ped State game?

Yep. All season, probably.

Condolences.
It is amazing how much neat stuff you can do on a weekend if you ignore Big Time Football.

Actually, I do have a full schedule on Saturdays. Over the summer, it was when recording sessions were. Since the games are in the east, starting 9 here, I listen to internet radio in the morning. Don’t watch any big time football on tv, as no have tv. Which is why the corporate
strangulation of the net is so maddening.
