Investigators determined the children had gotten up early and found an unsecured firearm in the kitchen. While handling the gun, one of the children accidentally shot the 3-year-old, according to police.

State police investigators believe the drivers of two vehicles fired shots at one another’s vehicles while driving on I-465. The driver of one of the vehicles later crashed as they exited the interstate, police said.
