Once again, politeness is child’s play.

Investigators say the boy was showing off his family’s gun collection to three girls inside the basement of a home on the 2000 block of Glendale Avenue Monday, shortly before 10:30 a.m. Monday. He then accidentally fired a gun he was holding and struck one of the girls in the face. Investigators say the boy didn’t realize the gun was loaded.

The child is being charged.

Thus passeth another day in the Garden of NRA Delights.

Party politely.

During the party, people decided to compare their tattoos. The owner of the gun opted to take his gun out of the holster so he could remove his pants to show a leg tattoo. He handed it to another male subject, who passed it off to a third male subject, who began to show it to the 20-year-old woman who was holding the infant at the time.

The man holding the gun accidentally discharged it, with a bullet going completely through the infant’s leg before striking the pelvis of the woman, according to police.

The hunt for politeness goes on.

“At 5:54 pm officers responded to county road 7741 to a report of a man being shot,” said Troy Police Chief Randall Barr. “When officers arrived, they found a 61-year-old male who had been shot one time in the chest with a high-powered rifle. The initial investigation revealed that the two men were hunting together when one mistakenly identified the other as a deer.”

The jury is still out as to whether it was his antlers or his little fluffy tail that led to the mistaken identity.

Children should be polite to their parents.

A Skyway mother, who is eight-months pregnant, is in the hospital after her 3-year-old son accidentally shot her in the face. The boy’s fourth birthday is Sunday.

(snip)

(Sgt. Ryan Abbott of the King County, Washington, Sheriff’s Office–ed.) Abbott said the boyfriend – and father of the child – told deputies he had just moved the gun from a higher location and placed the loaded gun between the mattress and the box spring Friday night, after hearing some noises outside their home.

“He (the child) found a handgun that was unsecured there and he grabbed it, and before anyone knew what happened, heard a pop sound. And the mom was shot on her face area,” Abbott said.

None Dare Call It Terrorism 0

Will Bunch is considers the continuing cascade of mass shootings. A nugget:

And here’s one more thing I don’t get. The way these shootings are all happening — the almost robotic similarity of these young and male and alienated and isolated killers, the recurring links to domestic violence or repressed sexuality and the large number of female victims, and the fact that these killings happen in everyday locales like a bank or a motel bar — scream out one word to me.

Terrorism.

Say it with politeness.

A Florida man has been accused of forcing a handgun into the mouth of a woman who had complained that he talked too much during a television show.

(snip)

Police said the woman entered the bedroom to get a blanket when she claimed to have heard the sound of a firearm being racked. She accused the man of trying to intimidate her.

According to the arrest affidavit, the man pushed the woman to the ground and put the barrel of a 9mm handgun into her mouth. He allegedly said: “You want to see intimidation?”

More guns no doubt would have prevented this.
