Continuing in a similar vein, it appears that another “responsible gun owner” has succumbed to the “pull of the portable phallus.”

An investigation revealed a group of teenagers had been playing “ding-dong-ditch,” which means they ring people’s doorbells and run away. The teens reportedly approached 91 Waterford Rd., knocked on the door, and ran away.

“The resident of 91 Waterford Rd. later identified as 30-year-old Vincent Martin of Harrison, produced a handgun and shot at the teens numerous times, striking one victim in the right calf causing serious, but non-life-threatening injuries,” the release stated.

Another “responsible gun owner” shows off her politeness.

Police say Maria Morales, 51, was arrested under suspicion of manslaughter and negligent discharge of a firearm and was booked into the Madera County Jail.

(snip)

“We have a witness that was next door that heard people laughing and seemed like they were just having a good time,” Sgt. McCombs said.

According to McCombs, Morales was showing the victim her gun while trying to detach the magazine; that’s when the firearm went off and hit the victim in the head.

Yet another “responsible gun owner” exposes a child to politeness.

Officials said the boy found a gun stored in a bedroom and shot himself. His father attempted to revive him until first responders arrived, but the toddler died at the scene.

Sheriff Gerald Sticker says the gun was between the mattress and the box spring, accessible at eye level to the child. The father reportedly kept the firearm for safety reasons but did not secure it properly.

Yet another oxymmoronic “responsible gun owner.”

Yet another gun that (is claimed to have) fired itself.

When deputies arrived at the home, a man related to the teen told detectives he was “handling a firearm in another room of the house when the gun accidentally fired.”

The bullet went through the wall and struck the girl, authorities said.

Emergency personnel airlifted the teen to an area hospital.

Police say a 4-year-old child in the home had found a loaded firearm in the basement.

“While the child was touching the firearm, it discharged causing a projectile to pass through the ceiling of the basement and through the floor of the main level and into a sibling’s foot on the main level of the home,” according to a search warrant affidavit filed in 3rd District Court.

As we know, “responsible gun owner” is an oxymoron.

“A four-year-old child who had gotten a hold of a gun that had been left laying out, for whatever reason, accidentally fired the gun, striking his sibling, five year old sibling, hit him in the leg with the gunshot,” Msgt. Gary Knight with the Oklahoma City Police Department said.

So, too, apparently, is “responsible parent.”

As we all know, politeness takes practice.

The man died at the scene after life-saving measures were unsuccessful.

Celebrate holidays with random acts of politeness.

Trousdale County (Tenn.–ed.) Sheriff Ray Russell said the victim had put her grandchild in the back of the car after the fireworks show. She was talking to someone outside the car when she thought someone hit her with a bottle rocket.

But then she looked down and saw blood coming from her abdomen and realized she’d been shot. The round went right through her. She had to be life-flighted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center but is in stable condition.

. . . and another oxymoronic “responsbile gun owner” performs a random act of politeness.

“That’s where the bullet hit me, in my foot. It messed up my foot. It’s like a laceration right here,” said Alastair Probre, a Chief Petty Officer in the Navy.

Probre says he was shot after the bullet came through his bedroom window around 4:45 a.m.

“We were asleep, knocked out. When I finally realized what was happening, I looked around and saw a hole in the window, a bullet on the ground and blood everywhere. I told my girl to get down because I didn’t know if they were still shooting,” Probre said.

And another oxymoronic (emphasis on the “moronic”) “responsible gun owner” exposes a child to politeness . . . .

Police spoke to witnesses at the scene who said they saw 41-year-old Brian Siegfried handling a handgun while on the front porch of a home. At some point, Siegfried allegedly cocked the gun, put it down and walked across the street.

Siegfried also allegedly told police that he was tired of holding the gun and put it down.

During this time, four toddlers under the age of five were said to be in the direct vicinity of the handgun.

One of the children was able to pick up the gun and accidentally shoot the victim.
