According to a preliminary investigation, the (four-year-old–ed.) child found a loaded “ghost gun” — a firearm without a serial number — under a bed during a game of hide-and-seek. In a news release Monday, police said it appears a round was accidentally discharged, striking the child in the arm.

Too many guns.

Too much stupid.

Yet another oxymoronic “responsible gun owner” exposes a child to politeness.

The Kansas City Police Department reported an accidental shooting on Saturday night that left one boy, under the age of 5, hospitalized with critical injuries.

Police said that preliminary investigations revealed the boy had picked up an unsecured firearm and accidentally shot himself.

Thus passeth another day in the NRA’s Garden of Bleedin’.

Self-politeness is the politest kind.

According to a Facebook post by the Green Oak Township Police Department, officers were dispatched at about 7:10 p.m. Friday on the report of a “loud boom” at Legacy. When they responded, they found that the man had “shot himself in the buttocks after adjusting his pants”; he was transported by Livingston County Ambulance to a local hospital.

According to other information gleaned from Facebook, the incident happened during a girls volleyball game.

Too many guns. Too much stupid.

Ortiz’s family said she (10-year-old Isdennyeliz Ortiz–ed.) was downstairs asleep in bed when a relative upstairs accidentally fired a gun. They say the one bullet traveled through the floor, hitting Ortiz.

And another news writer who is ignorant of the difference between “accidentally” and “negligently.”

Too many guns. Too much stupid.

A 7-month-old was in the hospital Tuesday after another juvenile accidentally shot them, according to Hampton police.

Police say that the juvenile who shot the baby had an “unsecured firearm” and that the shooting was an accident, though they are still investigating the circumstances.

And, once again, “negligence” is misplet a-c-c-i-d-e-n-t.

After the boy was flown to UT Medical Center, he was later transferred to Children’s Hospital before being released on Saturday, according to Johnson. . . .

According to statements made by the boy’s parents, it is believed that the boy’s father either placed or keeps a loaded handgun in a holster on top of the refrigerator in the kitchen, the DA said. The boy’s mother said the he evidently used a chair to climb up on the kitchen counter tops, and apparently reached on top of the refrigerator to get the gun, Johnson said.
