The get fiendlier every day.

The Transportation Security Administration found a record-setting 6,737 guns at airport security checkpoints in 2023, the agency announced Wednesday. The number of firearms found by TSA officers last year surpassed the previous year’s record of 6,542 guns and was the highest annual total for the agency since it was created in the wake of the 9/11 terror attacks.

The agency said approximately 93% of the weapons were loaded, which TSA Administrator David Pekoske said was “concerning.”

Yet another child is sacrificed at the foot of the NRA’s leaden altar.

When they (police–ed.) arrived, a man said he was handling his gun when it accidentally went off.

His son was struck by the bullet and taken to an the hospital with serious injuries.

One more time, “accidentally” and “negligently” do not mean the same thing.

Yet another oxymoronic “responsible gun owner” didn’t know the gun was loaded when he sent a bullet into a neighbor’s house.

Authorities spoke with the homeowner, 34-year-old Lucas Hauman, who admitted he had discharged a 9mm Glock 45 handgun while trying to manipulate it.

Hauman told officers that he didn’t think the gun was loaded.

“Manipulate.”

Methinks another “M” word would be more appropri–oh, never mind.

Yet another “responsible gun owner” discharges his responsibility in yet another random act of politeness.

Yet another family chose to celebrate Christmas by sharing politeness with a child.
