Police believe the victim was preparing to leave and placed his gun on a nearby chair.

Shortly after, a two-year-old grabbed the gun.

“The child accidentally discharged the firearm, shooting the victim,” Chesterfield Police said.

After being told by his 74-year-old father that he had “stinky feet,” an Iowa man retrieved a firearm from his bedroom and shot the elderly man in the face as he was seated in a motorized scooter, investigators allege.

A man accidentally shot and killed himself when he slipped while taking his trash to an apartment dumpster.

The man in his 50s or 60s was carrying his gun and trash at about 6 a.m. Tuesday, according to a preliminary San Antonio police report. The gun discharged when the man slipped in a wet area.

Another oxymoronic “responsible gun owner” exposes a child to politeness.

According to police, the child was in the care of a babysitter who allegedly left two handguns unsecured in her home while watching the child. Green, who works as a social worker and is a graduate from the University of Michigan, was given a $75,000 cash surety bond.

“Investigation has revealed that a Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun was unsafely and unsecurely stored under a pillow, on a bed, inside the residence while the children were present,” said Warren police’s public information officer, John Gajewski, during a press conference on Monday.

The child is currently in stable condition at a hospital and is expected to recover.

We are a broken society.

. . . and, as we all know, politeness is a family value.

Yet another oxymoronic “responsible gun owner” feels compelled to flaunt his portable phallus in public.

“It appears the suspect drove through Mocksville firing a handgun and then traveled I-40 eastbound from the Hwy. 601 exit,” (Davie County, N. C., Sheriff J.D.–edl) Hartman reported. “The suspect then fired rounds and struck a driver and truck.”

Another child . . . .

A 13-year-old is in the hospital in serious condition after he was accidentally shot by a friend. The case happened over the weekend in Port Orange.

It all started with a sleepover that turned into a nightmare for the Green family. “Police told us his friend and him were sitting across from each other, his friend was cocking a gun back and forth,” said Jennifer Green, mother of Nathaniel Green. “The gun went off and the bullet was lodged in his spine.”

. . . and another gun that (reputedly) fired itself.

Yet more random acts of politeness.

Self-politeness is the politest kind.

These “responsible gun owners” need to learn not to play with their portable phalluses.
