Trumpled Walmart shoppers.

A family says they were harrassed outside the Bryant Walmart (Arkansas–ed.) when a man started yelling racially charged messages at them as they tried to load their groceries. Some of the interaction was caught on camera.

“My mother was fearful that he might pull out a firearm too. That’s what she told me afterward,” said Maria Meneses.

Meneses says the man was standing outside his car taking pictures of her family and their vehicle.

. . . because nothing says “America” like desecrating someone else’s house of worship.

Police say two women could face trespassing charges after a live Facebook video showed them snatching items from a Tempe mosque, urging children to join them in taking printed materials and mocking the Muslim faith.

Mourning in America 0

Steven M. suggests that it will never again be “morning in America,” to borrow Ronald Reagan’s slogan, for America’s right wing; he places the blame for that the right-wing’s own messaging. A snippet:

. . . Republican voters are so conditioned by the fearmongering (sic) of Fox News and the rest of the right-wing media that they can no longer respond to positive messaging. What matters to them is “owning the libs” and finding new enemies to smite. (Or even finding old enemies — as voting began yesterday, the right-wing press had spent several days treating Louis Farrakhan, of all people, as a significant ongoing threat to the Republic, rather than as a doddering old racist — he’s 84 — who didn’t have much national influence in his prime and has even less now.)

A Lie Too Far 0

San Francisco, California, ICE spokesman quits because he’s tired of lying for Donald Trump and Jeff Sessions. A snippet (full story at the link):

“I quit because I didn’t want to perpetuate misleading facts,” said Schwab, 38, who was hired in 2015 and resigned last week. “I asked them to change the information. I told them that the information was wrong, they asked me to deflect, and I didn’t agree with that. Then I took some time and I quit.”

A quibble: A “misleading fact” is not a fact. It’s a lie.

A Trumpled campus:

The Missouri Students Association presidential election has been canceled after the discovery of offensive tweets by three candidates who have since dropped out.

Presidential candidates Blaine Thomas and Claire Jacobs dropped out of the race Tuesday and vice-presidential candidate Caius Gillen quit Wednesday after a student journalist publicized racist, sexist and homophobic tweets from their Twitter accounts, the Columbia Missourian reported.

Forget the racism. Whatever happened to how to behave in publ–on, never mind. (Anti)-“social” media happened. Persons forget that the internet is a public place, and behave as if they were in a private place.

She’s standing strong on her right to proliferate poop.

North Hollywood resident Jardiel Ochoa was at work picking up trash, when he asked a woman whose dog was defecating on the parkway to pick up after it. Ochoa said that’s when the woman went off on him, telling him to go back to Mexico.

Crashing the convenience store:

Singh said Chad Horsley, the Denham Springs man accused of driving his pickup truck through The Best Stop’s front window Saturday night, was mistaken about the religious identity of the store’s owners, who are Sikh not Muslim, as Horsley allegedly told police.

(snip)

Horsley, a 27-year-old who has served in the Marine Corps and is a former East Baton Rouge sheriff’s deputy, allegedly told police he damaged the store because he thought the owners were Muslim.

“He blamed Muslims for killing his fellow service members overseas,” Sheriff Jason Ard said in a news release Monday. “He was also upset that Muslims, in his mind, were having an easier time prospering than he was despite his time in the service.”

Signs of the times.

Jacksonville’s Action News reported that the superintendent of Clay County Schools implicated the son of Fleming Island High School’s principal in an email to the school’s board.

In the original image, a student posing outside of the Duval County Courthouse holds a sign proclaiming “fear has no place in schools.” In the doctored images, however, the sign either shows a swastika and a racial slur or bears the slogan “women are property.”

Trumpling high school students:

For the second time in a month, Franklin High School administrators are investigating a racially charged incident, this one involving the alleged taunting of black players on a visiting basketball team from Racine.

Stephon Chapman, a small forward for the Horlick High School Rebels, said fans in the Franklin student section made monkey noises when he lined up to take his free throw shots during the first half of the game Thursday night.

After the game, he said, a white male adult shouted a racial slur at players, most of them African-American, as they boarded their bus.
