Above the Law has the text of the letter sent to Marjorie Taylor Greene when she used one of Dr. Dre’s songs in a “social” media post. The political nature of the post meant that, under copyright law, permission was required to use the song.

In this case, Greene used Dr. Dre’s “Still D.R.E.” as the musical backing for her Kevin McCarthy hype video — there’s four words you won’t see in a sentence ever again — and that’s not the sort of thing you can do without a license.

The letter itself? Well, it’s a gem.

Northeastern University runs the COVID numbers and finds that “the median death rate for counties with the strongest Republican leaning was between 40% and 300% higher than the counties that leaned Democrat,” because, to be blunt, (these are my words, not theirs) some persons chose science and some persons chose stupid.

A snippet (emphasis added); follow the link for the rest.

. . . the COVID-19 pandemic is different from past pandemics, he (Professor Mauricio Santillana of Northeastern–ed.) says. Typically, epidemiological models don’t even take into account the political leaning of communities. In this case, Santillana and the rest of the research team set out to document the vital role that political affiliation played in the devastation of the pandemic.

As part of their research, the team created models based on death counts from the country’s 2,000 counties that looked at factors ranging from socioeconomic status to obesity. Even when controlling for every other variable, the team found that political affiliation factored heavily in the death rate.

We are a society of stupid.
