Or blustering buffoon?
Too many persons have forgotten that Sharpton first appeared on the scene with the deplorable Tawana Brawley case.
Dick Polman recounts the record.

In the latest migration to a new virtual private server, some of the links to images in the earliest posts to this blog were broken. If you encounter one of these broken links, please let me know. I have backups and can restore the images.
There’s only one person who agrees with me on everything, and, as I’m not running for office, that person is not on the ballot.

This website does not track you.
It contains no private information. It does not drop persistent cookies, does not collect data other than incoming ip addresses and page views (the internet is a public place), and certainly does not collect and sell your information to others.
Some sites that I link to may try to track you, but that's between you and them, not you and me.
I do collect statistics, but I use a simple stand-alone Wordpress plugin, not third-party services such as Google Analitics over which I have no control.
Finally, this is website is a hobby. It's a hobby in which I am deeply invested, about which I care deeply, and which has enabled me to learn a lot about computers and computing, but it is still ultimately an avocation, not a vocation; it is certainly not a money-making enterprise (unless you click the "Donate" button--go ahead, you can be the first!).
I appreciate your visiting this site, and I desire not to violate your trust.

Resolved: If there had never been an Al Sharpton, we would have never had a Mike Nifong.

I read the comments on his entry. Both of the named persons should be held to their own standards, but they won’t be.

Opie: I disagree. I know enough about fraternities and athletic teams from my college days as a rumor-monger (not as a participant) to know that the dancer’s story was completely plausible.
If Nifong had thought of Sharpton at all, he would have paused and realized that he needed some evidence before he shot of his mouth.
Now all we can do is wish Nifong good luck in his new profession.
Sharpton’s career is a remarkable testiment to what sheer volume can attain, even as on perpetrates one lie after another. Sort of a Rush Limbaugh in his own right.
