In a thoughtful and well-reasoned editorial, my local rag unloaded on a local frolicker, one who is on a school board and has a political presence and who habitually spreads tommyrot and bilge.
Here’s a telling snippet from their editorial (emphasis added):

The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction and did not offer the victim any assistance.
For some fool reason (as my Daddy would have said), the report goes on to say that the fellow who was dozing in the chair was wearing camouflage, as if that is in any way relevant to anything.

Afterthought:
What I find most troubling about this sort of conduct is the gratuitous mean for the sake of mean of it all.
Cruelty must bring these sorts some type of pleasurable release.
