It contains no private information. It does not drop persistent cookies, does not collect data other than incoming ip addresses and page views (the internet is a public place), and certainly does not collect and sell your information to others.

I do collect statistics, but I use a simple stand-alone Wordpress plugin, not third-party services such as Google Analitics over which I have no control.
Finally, this is website is a hobby. It's a hobby in which I am deeply invested, about which I care deeply, and which has enabled me to learn a lot about computers and computing, but it is still ultimately an avocation, not a vocation; it is certainly not a money-making enterprise (unless you click the "Donate" button--go ahead, you can be the first!).

I suppose that would be almost funny if I haven’t used one of Pasadena’s city food banks on its Wednesday-Thursday bread program. Much of it is expired from the local chains. Differing from “salvage stores,” it’s FREE, no one makes a profit from it (in fact, all the local food bands are, as you are tipped to). What does expired bread taste like? It’s as you think, often hard almost to rock-like, or stale. Of course, you can always put it in the microwave with a little water to humidify it.
So you can use your limited SNAP dollars to buy “expired food”, as opposed to the fresh food it’s supposed to buy in the supermarket. Stretch the account. How about a law that prevents the local businesses from profiteering on it by disallowment of diversion of expired food to markets set up for the purpose of selling it? Or requiring business that does such a thing to send 150 percent of an equivalent of unexpired food to a free food bank or conduct sale of it to SNAP card holders within their own business at 50 percent off?
The awkwardness of Colbert is, at this moment, and I don’t see him much except in vignettes like this, is that he gets his million dollar salary off mock yucks of this nature. I understand the satire…still…

Whatever humor is there is bitter humor, for those who would recognize it.
Sometimes, humor works gets the point across when gravity does not.
Dammit.
This country is dissolving into cruelty. It is no longer a nice place to be.

I have to agree. Why I didn’t spend much time reading about the thoughts of the White Purity Party this morning. As you’ve probably surmised, in my area of town in Pasadena the citizenry of just what it levels its spite at full time.
