Exercise your right to politeness in the great outdoors.

Investigators believe Glenn Martin was shot by accident while camping in the Rainbow Falls Park area of the Pike National Forest on Friday, but they say they haven’t ruled anything out yet.

They’re asking anyone who was shooting a high-powered rifle in the area or anyone who noticed someone doing so to contact the sheriff’s office. Sgt. Ron Hanavan says shooting is not allowed in the area where Martin was struck.

Inter-generational politeness in NRA Paradise:

Yesterday afternoon, deputies say the child was put down for a nap in the master bedroom at his grandparent’s home on Puget Lane off Ella Boulevard in northwest Harris County. They say the child got a hold of an automatic pistol that was left on the night stand and shot himself in the head.

He is currently in critical condition. The story makes no mention of whether or not charges for negligent whatever that was will be filed.

An armed society is a clean society.

A Puyallup man accidentally shot his girlfried in the abdomen Friday night while preparing to clean his gun, according to police.

The boyfriend, 21, told officers he was getting ready to clean his semi-automatic pistol when it went off at about 10 p.m., accidentally shooting his 22-year-old girlfriend.

One wonders for what reason the gun just decided to go off?

Politeness is essential to a strong family structure.

According to a news release from Hampton Police, 4-year-old Chris L. Palmer got hold of a loaded gun inside a home on Chamberlin Avenue around 9:30 p.m. and accidentally shot himself. Police say the gun was in a bedroom.

The step-father has been charged with felony child neglect. Follow the link and form your own conclusions about what might just possibly maybe distinguish between “felony child neglect” and “tragic accident.”

Just another day in NRA Paradise . . . .

While vacationing with his family in Alaska, Northern Arizona football player Michael DeGroote died after supposedly shooting himself with a gun by accident. His family was vacationing at Denali National Park and Preserve and he was said to have shot himself on Tuesday. It’s not yet known if it was accidental or not Park spokeswoman Kathleen Kelly said, as the park investigates the matter.

The family is steadfast in saying it was accidental, as the AP reports.

Hey! Accidents happen.

An accident with a firearm claimed the life of 4-year-old Summer Miller of St. Marie on the morning of June 27 around 10 a.m., according to Valley County Sheriff Glen Meier. The fatality was instantaneous.

Musical NoteThe story does not say what happened, only that it was just one of those things, just one of those crazy things that happens in NRA Paradise.

This is not a felicitous fashion choice; fetishistic, maybe, but hardly felicitous. The cops might think, with some justification, that you are asking for it.

Politeness is a family affair.

The Trigg County Sheriffs Department said Sunday a 19-year-old was charged after a 5-year-old shot his 4-year-old sister.

Authorities said the 5-year-old got his hands on a .22 caliber revolver that was left loaded and unattended in a home.

Had the little girl had been packing, she would no doubt have been able to defend herself.

Politeness is a family affair.

Detective Sergeant Bryan Brown told THV11 News that one of two people inside the home came out, seeking help from a neighbor and told them he had accidentally shot the other person. Brown said the apparent shooter is a 15-year-old while the victim is an 18-year-old; both are related to each other.

A police report indicates that the 15-year-old was frantically saying “Uncle, I’m sorry!” to the victim while at the scene. He was reportedly playing with a gun and accidentally shot the 18-year-old.

Like many Americans, the polite don’t seem to take kindly to bicyclists.

A 10-year-old girl was shot Tuesday night while riding her bike in the South Salt Creek neighborhood, Lincoln police said.

The girl told police she was riding near Eighth and Peach streets about 8:30 when she heard a loud bang and felt something hit the inside of her right knee, Officer Katie Flood said.

This ends today’s update from NRA Paradise.

Self-politeness is the politest kind.

A man who shot himself Friday evening while reportedly cleaning a high-powered rifle remained hospitalized on Monday.

If you are too stupid to unload a gun before you clean it, you are too stupid to play with guns. Q. E. D.

Afterthought:

I just got it!

“Cleaning” is an ammosexual euphemism for “stroking repeatedly in a loving manner.”
