The Lubbock Independent School district tells KCBD-TV parents were notified Sunday about the death of Jackson Roberts. Childress police say a 14-year-old boy thought he was playing with an unloaded gun on Friday and accidentally shot the Lubbock boy in the left shoulder.

There’s no politeness like highly trained politeness.

McMahan was exiting his police cruiser when he accidentally shot himself with his personal firearm, according to DeBusk.

McMahan was accompanied by another officer, and the pair were getting ready to work an extra job at a construction site, DeBusk said. The second officer radioed for help and provided immediate medical care to McMahan, DeBusk said.

Claremore detectives are investigating an apparent unitentional shooting that occurred Thanksgiving Day at a “get-together” in Claremore.

19-year-old Attiyah Fenwick was inside the apartment in the 100 block of Heritage Way that she shares with her boyfriend when she became upset at him and fired a gun several times, according to the release. Fenwick also lit a plastic bin and other items on fire in the dining room, police said.

Authorities say two teenagers were shot in eastern Pennsylvania by a man who says his rifle accidentally discharged while he was unloading it.

The state Game Commission says the bullet passed through a 14-year-old girl’s left knee and entered the abdomen of a 15-year-old boy Tuesday night in a wooded area behind Tamaqua Area High School.

State police at Clearfield report Paul Hazel was holding a 9mm handgun and attempted to begin cleaning it when it unexpectedly went off. As a result, Hazel was struck in the abdomen/hip area and the bullet exited his lower left back area. The bullet then traveled into an adjoining room and struck Andrew Hicks on the backside of his left hand and traveled through his palm.

Dennis Eugene Emery, 57, was arguing with his wife in their home at 5271 87th Ave. N around 6 a.m. when Emery grabbed a revolver and threatened to shoot one of the family dogs, police said.

He pulled the hammer back on the gun to emphasize his threat. Later, he tried released the hammer, but the gun fired while Emery had it pointed at his face.

Shenandoah County sheriff’s Maj. Scott Proctor tells media outlets that investigators believe 46-year-old Gina Angela Shoemaker of Edinburg was hit by an errant gunshot.

Proctor says Shoemaker was shot in the head Sunday while in a home in an area north of Basye. An adult and a juvenile were shooting targets a few hundred yards from the home on an adjacent property.

According to the Middeltown Press, the three-year-old was taken to the Providence Medical Center where it was determined that his mouth injury was not just a result of force exhibited by a swinging door but was actually a gunshot wound. Following this discovery, the three-year-old was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The other child involved in the accident is just four years old. It is not yet clear how or why the three-year-old was shot, or even how the four-year-old child may have gotten a hold of the gun.

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says 20-year-old Kyle Fry of Edgewood is recovering from a non-life-threatening wound in a Dubuque hospital. Officials say he accidentally shot himself in the leg with a .22 caliber rifle over the weekend near Littleport in Clayton County. They say he was trying to get his tracking dogs away from the raccoons when the gun fired.

Knox County Sheriff Allen Gudehus told KTVO the accidental shooting took place on a farm southeast of Novelty.

He said a man from Illinois was shot by a family member who was deer hunting with him.

A 15-year-old was killed Sunday by an accidental in Mesa County.

The County Sheriff’s Office says they don’t believe there was any malicious intent behind the shooting that killed Brandon Crawford.

Self-politeness is the politest kind.

The investigation revealed a 25-year old woman sustained an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound to her abdomen. She was transferred to the appropriate trauma hospital where she is currently in stable condition.

To my two or three regular readers: I know this gets old. So too does the mix of ammosexuality, guns, and stupid.

A 10-year-old boy has been hospitalized after authorities say he shot himself in the face with a family member’s gun while sitting inside an SUV in Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

The boy and his sister were waiting in the vehicle, outside an auto repair shop, when he found the gun and it went off, police tell NBC10. The father was inside the shop. The mother had just dropped the children off.

Responding officers found Smith screaming from his third-floor window.

“‘I’m not leaving without shooting,’ he kept saying from the window of his apartment,” Chitwood said. “When we tried to negotiate with him, he would scream all types of things.”

Chitwood said Smith fired three shots toward officers in the apartment building’s courtyard.

Over the next three hours, Smith fired off six more rounds at police from his window. When he threatened to shoot down a news helicopter flying over the scene, police moved in and launched tear gas into his window, Chitwood said.
