Another child:

The caller told dispatchers that a child had been hit by a bullet after an accidental discharge of a firearm.

The child was shot in the back of the head, but police say the child was alert and communicating when Pierce Township Fire and EMS Department arrived around 11:03 a.m.

Get out of Jail free cardAnother case where someone is ignorant of the difference between “accidental” and “negligent,” which I keep harping on because it lets the negligent avoid responsibility for their negligence.

Once again, an oxymoronic “responsible gun owner” has exposed a portable phallus to a child.

According to unconfirmed police dispatch reports, another child accidentally shot the boy after finding a gun in the home.

The 7-year-old was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition.

We are a broken society.

Self-politeness is the politest kind.

The incident happened around 6:20 a.m. near Morgan Road and Reno Avenue. Police told KOCO 5 that the man was holding a gun when it went off and hit him on the back of his legs.

And another gun that is implied to have fired itself . . . .

Honest to Betsy, you can’t make this stuff up (emphasis added).

. . . Throughout the investigation, Welch and the victim claimed the shooting was an accident, according to court documents. The victim “later explained the ‘accident’ occurred after an argument over Christmas cookies had ensued.” Welch also claimed to have disposed of the gun used along a road near the house. . . .

I guess that’s how the cookie crumbles in NRA Paradise.

And, as we know, you have to practice politeness.

An Oklahoma man has been charged with first-degree manslaughter after allegedly shooting a woman a few blocks from his home while firing at a target in his backyard. . . .

Yet another oxymoronic “responsible gun owner” exposes his portable phallus to a child.

Investigators determined the weapon involved was a 9-millimeter handgun. The father told deputies he left the gun on his nightstand the night before after returning home late from a Christmas Eve gathering.

“He had been out late, was exhausted, laid the handgun on the nightstand, and simply forgot about it,” (Walker County, Ga., Sheriff–ed.) Wilson said.

The child was rushed to T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga, where he underwent emergency surgery. Sheriff Wilson says the child survived the operation and is currently resting in critical condition.

So many guns. So much stupid.

And a polite society is a clean society.

According to the Zachary (Louisiana–ed.) Police Department, the incident occurred around 10 p.m. near Spring Hollow Court and Raven Way Drive when a man, unloading his gun to clean it, accidentally shot himself in the hand, injuring his wife in the process.

One more time, “responsible gun owner” is an oxymoron.

Yet another child shows politeness to his friend.

The Alexandria (Louisiana–ed.) Police Department initially said the shooting appeared to be accidental. After further investigation, they determined it was intentional.

The 10-year-old, who is not being named because he is a juvenile, has been arrested for aggravated second-degree battery and juvenile in possession of a handgun. He has been placed in the Renaissance Home for Youth.

And thus passeth another day in the NRA’s Garden of Bleedin’.

And yet another gun that fires itself . . . .

According to a preliminary report obtained on Tuesday, the 19-year-old victim and a group of witnesses were playing video games. At some point, a gun was handed off between one of the witnesses and the victim, and the firearm went off.

The Ghost Gun Haunting 0

The ghost of ghost guns comes back to haunt a purveyor of portable phalluses.

Here’s a bit from the news report:

A Texas gun retailer that allegedly contributed to increased gun violence in New York by selling “ghost guns” is not owed coverage under its liability policy, a federal appeals court ruled.

(snip)

In lawsuits filed in 2022, the state of New York and the cities of Buffalo and Rochester filed separate actions against Houston-based Primary Arms and other gun sellers, alleging that they deliberately marketed and sold ghost guns to New York residents, contributing to gun violence in the state.
