We are broken.

Once again, we are reminded that politeness takes practice.

They get fiendlier every day.

We are a broken state.

In the land of prolific portable phalluses, history repeats itself over and over and over once more again.

Yet another “responsible gun owner” exposes a child to politeness.

Yet another oxymoronic (emphasis on the “moronic”) “responsible gun owner” allows politeness to become child’s play.

writing in The Seattle Times, Steve Valandra, an American who has a residence in Portugal, looks at American gunnuttery from afar. An excerpt:

Seeing the U.S. from the outside frames an ugly and shameful truth: Too many Americans have a selfish and deadly desire for guns, particularly those that rapidly fire off multiple rounds within seconds. The fetish is often wrapped in a twisted view of patriotism and a sham of personal safety and defense.

A society that values portable phalluses over progeny is a ipso facto a failed society.

Be polite to the staff at your local fast food establishment.

We are a failing state.

I’m going to keep at it in the forlorn hope that it might one day sink in: “Accident” and “negligence” are not synonyms.

Yet another responsible gun owner (sic) goes tripping on his politeness.

Guns and stupid, guns and stupid.

One more time, “responsible gun owner” is an oxymoron.

Scatter politeness while ye may,
For time it is a-flying.
The very person who finds it hey!
Tomorrow may be dying.
