And What Does This Say? 1
Speaks for itself, thinks I:
Officials say the amendments would alter a U.S. law passed in the mid-1990s that criminalized violations of the Geneva Conventions, a set of international treaties governing military conduct in wartime. The conventions generally bar the cruel, humiliating and degrading treatment of wartime prisoners without spelling out what all those terms mean.
If you can’t obey the law, how about just rewrite it.
Maybe I should try that the next time I get a speeding ticket.

Let me know if it works. If so, then we’ll try it on the parking tickets they get when they go to the 16th Street Mall.
