Scary 4
I don’t know that I agree with this–I sure don’t want to, but it’s a sad commentary on the current state of our polity that it sounds plausible.

In the latest migration to a new virtual private server, some of the links to images in the earliest posts to this blog were broken. If you encounter one of these broken links, please let me know. I have backups and can restore the images.
There’s only one person who agrees with me on everything, and, as I’m not running for office, that person is not on the ballot.

This website does not track you.
It contains no private information. It does not drop persistent cookies, does not collect data other than incoming ip addresses and page views (the internet is a public place), and certainly does not collect and sell your information to others.
Some sites that I link to may try to track you, but that's between you and them, not you and me.
I do collect statistics, but I use a simple stand-alone Wordpress plugin, not third-party services such as Google Analitics over which I have no control.
Finally, this is website is a hobby. It's a hobby in which I am deeply invested, about which I care deeply, and which has enabled me to learn a lot about computers and computing, but it is still ultimately an avocation, not a vocation; it is certainly not a money-making enterprise (unless you click the "Donate" button--go ahead, you can be the first!).
I appreciate your visiting this site, and I desire not to violate your trust.

If he blamed things on the “Israel lobby” just one more time, he was going to have to start calling it “the international Jewish banking conspiracy” just for the sake of variety.

Hmmmmph.
You may have a point. I would note, though, that my interpretation of the “Israel lobby” as he used the term doesn’t necessarily mean official–or even unofficial–representatives of the Israeli government or even persons whose support of Israel stems from having a Jewish heritage.
There seems to be an attitude on the part of the US Government, Congress, and the great majority of Americans that Israel can do no wrong.
Now, for the sake of the occasional visitor, I am not making any judgement on whether Israel has done or is doing wrong; I’m commenting on American political attitudes towards Israel.
I would submit that this does not affect my primary point–that five years ago the contents of this rant would have been prima facie dismissed as the output of a raving fruitcake, whereas today they seem within the realm of possibility.

To me, now is an odd moment to ask if Israel can do no wrong.
But anyway, I’ve read this piece a second time and I still don’t know what this guy proposes. Maybe I’d agree with his proposition, if he had one.

I don’t think he’s proposing anything.
I think he’s throwing up his hands in frustration.
