Maybe If I Baked a Cake (Updated) 1

Because, as Atrios points out, most of us who live in cities and suburbs aren’t allowed to keep chickens.

Addendum:

With apologies to Joann Worley, another chicken joke.

Wouldn’t work for us, either & we’re more relaxed than anyone on the east coast.

Although, if you go 5 or so miles up the street, you can. Horses too. We know a man who has geese (the really big ones) that serves not only as a supplier of eggs but as watch dogs too. He also raises turkeys & doesn’t understand why I would turn my nose up at any turkey meat he brings over. Or carcass from his hunting trips. Or eggs that his geese & chickens have produced. My motto: If it isn’t store bought, it isn’t edible. Ick!!

Finally, this is website is a hobby. It's a hobby in which I am deeply invested, about which I care deeply, and which has enabled me to learn a lot about computers and computing, but it is still ultimately an avocation, not a vocation; it is certainly not a money-making enterprise (unless you click the "Donate" button--go ahead, you can be the first!).
