Inculcate politeness into your progeny at an early age.

The (three-year-old–ed.) boy was rushed to Advocate Trinity Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Family told police they heard a gunshot from another room and found their child with a gun, police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi tweeted Sunday night. The Department of Children and Family Services “has also been called in to assist,” he said.

The NRA will no doubt argue that, had the boy been armed, this no doubt would not have happ–oh, wait.

Yes, I know the Windows taskbar is at the bottom of the screen by default. Did you know that you can reposition it? I find putting the taskbar (or, in Linux-speak, the panel) at the top fits my workflow.

Distant politeness . . . .

Three members of a Northern Kentucky family found themselves just inches away from being hit with a bullet on their farm.

The family was next to the lake on their property in southern Kenton County when the shot came whizzing by Thursday evening. They’re thankful no one was hurt, but now they’re left wondering if it was an accident or if someone was aiming for them.

I’m betting is was just one of those responsible gun owners being responsible.

Tales of the Trumpling: Snapshots of Trickle-Down Trumpery 0

At NorthJersey.com, Bruce Lowry describes how the trickle has become a flood in Sussex County, New Jersey. An excerpt:

The Twitter account includes retweets of memes with hateful language about Muslims and specifically about Muslim Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, calling them in one case “the enemy within.” Other memes shared this month group them with Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ayanna Pressley, calling them “stupid b*****s” and “Whores of Babble-on.”

Still another tweet, shared July 17, has a photo of the four and the words: “America is demanding the immediate and unconditional removal of these radical terrorists for traitorous and slanderous remarks and attacks against America and the president of the United States of America.”
