Yet another gun fires itself:

Kathlein Heit, 9-year-old daughter of Capt. and Mrs. George Heit, died on the way to the hospital as a result of a gunshot wound sustained in an unusual way. The girl had been visiting at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Heit of Snake Spring Valley, and was being taken home by her father. A loaded gun in the car exploded and the charge hit the girl about a knee.
