How about a counter Quote of the Day: “Nobody talks more of free enterprise and competition and of the best man winning than the man who inherited his father’s store or farm.” C. Wright Mills

Give me the link and I’ll post it.

I don’t want to post any QOTD without a citation.

Bobby Wolff used it in his bridge column on Feb. 6. He attributed it to C. Wright Mills.
BTW I tried to e-mail it to you and my e-mail server said that your site blocked e-mails to the e-mail address that you said to use, i.e. frank@pineviewfarm.net. Hope this helps. smj

Regarding the email, I have a forwarder set up that should forward emails to that address to another one. I’ll look into it.

    I found a citation: https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/C._Wright_Mills

I have verified that the forwarder is not working properly.

I’m taking the easy way out. Instead of my trying to troubleshoot this with my hosting provider on my VPS, I have created a new mailto for this site, which you will see on the sidebar within a day or two, when I feel like dealing with the CSS.

This website does not track you.

It contains no private information. It does not drop persistent cookies, does not collect data other than incoming ip addresses and page views (the internet is a public place), and certainly does not collect and sell your information to others.

Some sites that I link to may try to track you, but that's between you and them, not you and me.

I do collect statistics, but I use a simple stand-alone Wordpress plugin, not third-party services such as Google Analitics over which I have no control.

Finally, this is website is a hobby. It's a hobby in which I am deeply invested, about which I care deeply, and which has enabled me to learn a lot about computers and computing, but it is still ultimately an avocation, not a vocation; it is certainly not a money-making enterprise (unless you click the "Donate" button--go ahead, you can be the first!).

I appreciate your visiting this site, and I desire not to violate your trust.
