Honoring the Fallen 1

Mithras reports that President Obama went to Dover to salute the fallen and points out that Bush never went to Dover.

Bushes, in fact, tried to hide Dover.

Every time I see a headline about soldier killed in Afghanistan, I scan the story to see whether my son’s name is in the story, though I know that, had he been involved, my doorbell would have rung long before and I would have opened the door to see uniforms.

No news is good news.

And what happens when I am in Virginia Beach and the Army knows not my new address?

You know, it’s terrifying to read about the horrors going on in Afghanistan, let alone bear the burden of doubt to a life you hold dear. If there was a way to get all the soldiers out without any consequence, I’m sure it would have been done years ago. What’s nice to know is that at least Obama cares, and is really doing his best for the country, and that is something to be grateful for. As it turns out, Canada has also suffered her share of losses in this war (http://www.pressdisplay.com/pressdisplay/showlink.aspx?bookmarkid=HFBC0STOZOZ6&preview=article&linkid=5115515e-c24c-4c00-8689-900b14189974&pdaffid=ZVFwBG5jk4Kvl9OaBJc5%2bg%3d%3d), and for the sake of everyone, I hope this ends soon.
