If you are a mystery buff, check out the Phryne Fisher stories and the television show based on them. They are most excellent stories which lean more to cozies than to any other sub-genre.

This website does not track you.
It contains no private information. It does not drop persistent cookies, does not collect data other than incoming ip addresses and page views (the internet is a public place), and certainly does not collect and sell your information to others.
Some sites that I link to may try to track you, but that's between you and them, not you and me.
I do collect statistics, but I use a simple stand-alone Wordpress plugin, not third-party services such as Google Analitics over which I have no control.
Finally, this is website is a hobby. It's a hobby in which I am deeply invested, about which I care deeply, and which has enabled me to learn a lot about computers and computing, but it is still ultimately an avocation, not a vocation; it is certainly not a money-making enterprise (unless you click the "Donate" button--go ahead, you can be the first!).

I find the series to be okay compared to others in the genre that stir in some humor . . . uh, humour . . . like Midsomer and Brokenwood. Kind of predictable plots and not particularly deep, but oh Miss Fisher’s legs!

Yeah, it’s definitely a cozy; the humor (humour?) is more important than the plot. The Doctor Blake Mysteries, also from Australia, is much more serious and very well acted.
I enjoy Midsomer also. Their plots seem to take a hard left turn into uncharted territory just before the solution, but the writing and acting are superior. I think many of the British mystery shows are so good because they don’t have as heavy a schedule as American ones, so the writers have more time to get it right. Morse produced 38 episodes over 18 years and remains one of the best mystery shows every to hit television.
If you want to talk mysteries, I got all the time in the world.

I agree. Corpse for corpse, Morse is the best.
