This website does not track you.
It contains no private information. It does not drop persistent cookies, does not collect data other than incoming ip addresses and page views (the internet is a public place), and certainly does not collect and sell your information to others.
Some sites that I link to may try to track you, but that's between you and them, not you and me.
I do collect statistics, but I use a simple stand-alone Wordpress plugin, not third-party services such as Google Analitics over which I have no control.
Finally, this is website is a hobby. It's a hobby in which I am deeply invested, about which I care deeply, and which has enabled me to learn a lot about computers and computing, but it is still ultimately an avocation, not a vocation; it is certainly not a money-making enterprise (unless you click the "Donate" button--go ahead, you can be the first!).
I appreciate your visiting this site, and I desire not to violate your trust.

I KNEW you were going to catch that story… I just KNEW it…

I have waited all my life to be old enough to be a dirty old man.
Now I shall enjoy my age.

I’m not quite sure what that ‘publication’ is, but I’m sure, after a little exploring on it, that it was conceived & written by men.

Are you referring to El Reg?
Yeah, it’s a bunch of IT geeks of the male variety.
And they are Brits, so what they consider appropriate humor is somewhat different from what Americans consider appropriate.
And it’s also a great source for IT and computer news.

I thought so. The humor didn’t bother me, it just seemed slanted, if you know what I mean.

Not that you’ve ever seen humor in the behavior of men, Karen.

Opie, if he hasn’t told you already, ask him about the choke hold on the steps in front of the church this morning. He thought he was funny.

Well, Opie?

I’ll ask, but I’m warning you Frank, you did not hear all the details of when the Westboro Baptist Church thugs showed up at Chris and Karen’s church… let’s just say that if Chris was one of Jesus’ original disciples, and someone messed with Jesus, Chris would have been the fist one to whip out his sword and cut off the guy’s ear.

We were leaving the service, I was going to the truck, & going down the steps, in front of at least 1 associate pastor, & several greeters, he puts me in a mock choke hold. Just to get their reaction. Thinks he’s funny. After I pinched an inch on his waist, he let me go. As far as the nutballs from Westboro, after the 3 Vietnam vets “convinced” him that they, the nutballs, weren’t after any of our seniors, & got him inside the building, & the reporter showed him where his bible was, that they hadn’t stolen it, he was calm. Sort of. At least he stopped trying to get their next location out of the cop that was on watch at our church. At least Jim didn’t have to resort to the chains & the tree, as he had threatened.
