    The lowest I saw today in Springfield, IL was $2.67. Oil has gone up this week though, so who knows what that may bring? The markets are nervous about the next hurricane, especially if it damages the oil industry in Houston.

    It’s still jumping up and down here also, but the jumps aren’t as big.

    I do get a kick out of how the prices change from morning to evening.

    But I have a 22 mile commute–that’s two gallons a day. Drat.

Finally, this is website is a hobby. It's a hobby in which I am deeply invested, about which I care deeply, and which has enabled me to learn a lot about computers and computing, but it is still ultimately an avocation, not a vocation; it is certainly not a money-making enterprise (unless you click the "Donate" button--go ahead, you can be the first!).
