My Little Gas Price Survey, 10/14-15/2005 2
I went to Pine View Farm this weekend (I’ll add a few more pictures to the Pine View Farm page later this week); gas prices seem to be continuing a downward trend.
For the most part, prices were down 10 t0 15 cents from what they were three weeks ago, the last time I made the trip.

Your prices are dropping way faster than ours. $2.71 is the lowest I’ve seen here this weekend. We haven’t seen $2.57 gasoline since before Katrina.

Well, within 20 miles of of where I sit are something like ten refineries (I don’t know the exact number).
I expect that has a lot to do with it.
What I find interesting is that, the farther south I go towards Virginia, the higher the prices get till I arrive in Virginia and they drop to lower than prices here. There are no refineries in Virginia, but I don’t know what the gas taxes there are.
