There’s only one person who agrees with me on everything, and, as I’m not running for office, that person is not on the ballot.
Andrew Sullivan takes the dissecting knife to just one lie.
It’s quite an autopsy.

Maybe it’s just me, but I feel a strange similarity to the Right’s lies abut Obama and the way they treated Jimmy Carter. It didn’t matter what Carter did, the Republicans hated him and made fun of him. It didn’t help that he was an anomaly – an educated Southerner and religious Democrat. (Even though you and I both know such creatures exist, the Right likes to believe they don’t.)
I fear that Obama will suffer Carter’s fate – a one term President that will remain a joke amongst even the historians as the entire nation buys into the lie that’s been fed to them.

They lied about Bill Clinton, also, but weren’t able to vanquish him. I also think that they had a lot of help from the Ayatollah Cockamamie against Carter; without the Iran hostage situation, that election may well have turned out differently.
They pretty much lie about anyone with whom they disagree.
The truth leans left; lies are all that’s left them.
