It’s another ticket puncher issue. Tomorrow, it will be Beng-hazi, Beng-hazi again. Thursday, impeach impeach impeach. Someone pointed out the IRS will never get a new commissioner now. The appointment replacement hadn’t been filled and now it never will be. I honestly don’t know why the GOP doesn’t actually start a revolt and seize some federal installation they don’t like in a red state. Or they could actually try and make new anti-sedition legislation which dubs the Democratic party a traitorous agency. What are the standards for these thing? http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2013/feb/05/hungary-right-political-abyss I mean, there’s a model with the subhed: The left has found no response to the right’s attacks on Gypsies, its virulent antisemitism and its xenophobic Christian nationalism. You just have to change some nouns and it describes this country. It’s just going to get wrose. There’s no possible check on it. It shows what a united minority bunch of insane and unreasonable men can do particularly inside a government system that is not set up to handle a group that believes in nothing but its own supremacy. There are no parallels or instructive examples from history that show a way forward, only all bad ends. They can totally paralyze the country for three more years, create an atmosphere that is conducive to extreme violent right actions and precipitate a constitutional crisis, if they really want to, by making the government default on servicing debt and spending or through a slow death of not allowing any appointments to any federal agencies from here on out.
