In the latest migration to a new virtual private server, some of the links to images in the earliest posts to this blog were broken. If you encounter one of these broken links, please let me know. I have backups and can restore the images.
There’s only one person who agrees with me on everything, and, as I’m not running for office, that person is not on the ballot.
Honest to Pete, you can’t make this stuff up.
Words fail me.

I made a comment in one of the posts over at my place that one could actually think of quite a few policies which could be enacted at the state or federal level to deal with corporate predation like Walmart’s. But nothing can happen because of the Republican Party with the result that at the national level, we have a country and economy that is plainly malevolent towards its workers. At the very least a President has the power to channel publicity and opinion. It would be entirely proper for the Prez to single out Walmart and this in a speech as we approach Thanksgiving on how this how the country is and we must work to fix it. Nothing changes the sociopaths at Walmart but a noticeable public excoriation and loathing launched by the president certainly wouldn’t hurt.

IMO, the time to act as if Republicans and the plutocracy deal in good faith is long past.
