   To paraphrase, read it, I dare you. Every molecule of ur-Fascism, or whatever one wishes to call it, on display in that crippled, venomous essay, pumped out once or twice a week, depending on who’s paying.

   I might add reading the reviews of It Can’t Happen Here at Amazon reveal many with the same mind and the uncanny ability to twist anything so it conforms with their own beliefs.

   Ouch. For a second I thought you were talking about me George. Sometimes I can’t help reading the whole comment before clicking the link. You’re right about crazy teddy, fascism has a great deal of theatricality to it but he really believes the vitriol he expresses. I will check out the reviews on It Can’t Happen Here as you suggest, I am sure it will make for some great examples of the popular identity of fascism.
