“An Armed Society Is a Polite Society” 0

Like many Americans, the polite don’t seem to take kindly to bicyclists.

A 10-year-old girl was shot Tuesday night while riding her bike in the South Salt Creek neighborhood, Lincoln police said.

The girl told police she was riding near Eighth and Peach streets about 8:30 when she heard a loud bang and felt something hit the inside of her right knee, Officer Katie Flood said.

This ends today’s update from NRA Paradise.

I’m not a big fan of Google (privacy and all that, eh, what?), but I have a Google Alert set up for incidents like this. I limit myself to posting no more than one a day. It is a rare day when there is not at least one; usually there are quite a few. Those I post are but a taste of the carnage wrought by those suffering from ammosexual displacement fetish.*

Sweet Jesus, when will our elected representatives incongruously assembled have the guts to stand up to NRA carnage? (Yeah, I know the answer is “never,” because they are gutless wonders in three-piece suits.)

I’ll stop now.

Some sites that I link to may try to track you, but that's between you and them, not you and me.

I do collect statistics, but I use a simple stand-alone Wordpress plugin, not third-party services such as Google Analitics over which I have no control.

Finally, this is website is a hobby. It's a hobby in which I am deeply invested, about which I care deeply, and which has enabled me to learn a lot about computers and computing, but it is still ultimately an avocation, not a vocation; it is certainly not a money-making enterprise (unless you click the "Donate" button--go ahead, you can be the first!).
