Colt Ford? Now you’re makin’ me laugh. I was a music journalist, remember? Colt Ford was something of a weird joke years ago. Morbidly obese country guy who can’t sing, instead rapping his way through knee-jerk Dixie-self-loving crap. For Perry, it used to be Ted Nugent in his stars-and-bars cut-off denim shirt. Not much of a difference over the space of half a decade. I’m not sure why he has any audience at all. All guys who are kinda like him, at the base. The only way girls/women would be in on it would be after having rohypnol slipped in their Budweiser..

Anyway, at least half of the country artists you see in major videos bow to the stars-and-bars. They have to.

Literally, can’t sing. Voice drowned in Autotune. When it’s not he just talks over the music.

I dare you to watch live clips of him. It takes a tent to make his pants.
